NOTE: Savage has recently made some Axis rifles which accept only 8-40 screws. We do not recommend our rail for these. Please check the Savage website for details before ordering.
PLEASE NOTE: Some newer models of Axis rifles use 8-40 mounting screws and not the 6-48. Check the Savage website to be sure your rifle uses 6-48 screws before ordering. Holes may optionally be opened up with some minor machine work, but obviously we cannot warranty that.
